STEC Spends 2.5 Billion yuan in Creating the New Landmark of Zhejiang Transportation Junction + Commerce

Recently, the STEC has spent 2.581 billion yuan in constructing PPP Project of Eastern and Western Squares Engineering of Zhejiang Railway Hangzhou South Railway Station Comprehensive Transportation Junction, which was another significant project carried out by STEC in Hangzhou, Zhejiang after PPP Project of Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Taizhou Expressway (Taizhou Section) and Hangzhou Wenyi Road Tunnel Project. It is worth mentioning that PPP Project of Hangzhou South Railway Station was the first “hub type high-speed rail complex” financed by STEC. In the future, the area of 220 thousand square meters may be injected with comprehensive elements including public spaces such as large-scale department store, business street, plaza, garden etc. and park etc., thus becoming a station that is “able to make passengers stay enjoyably”. Hangzhou South Railway Station, honored as “station pretty close to homes of Xiaoshan people” and “Zhejiang Provincial Most Modern Transportation Junction Center”, is an important engineering of Zhejiang Provincial comprehensive transportation junction and forms a triune Hangzhou railway junction with Hangzhou City Railway Station and Hangzhou East Railway Station. Centering on the Hangzhou South Railway Station, a fast, high-efficient and stereo metric formula comprehensive transfer center among ground, underground, subway, rail and highway will be formed to drive the urban development of the southern part of Hangzhou City and form a boom town area integrating the modern service, tourist distribution and living functions. This Project is also the first standard PPP Project of Xiaoshan District and adopts BOT (build-operate-transfer) mode. STEC is not only the investment and construction party, but also the operator of the project. According to design, the Eastern and Western Squares with a total building area of 228 thousand square meters will stress integration of gathering and distributing function and recreational function based on meeting the function use to create a composite type square integrating traffic, green and recreational function. In the meanwhile, the Project Company jointly established by Xiaoshan District Urban Construction Investment Group and STEC will be responsible for operation of a part of public realty, supporting service room, park and advertisement within the scope of Hangzhou South Railway Station Project. In 2017, the new Hangzhou South Railway Station after renovation will become the important transportation junction in the metropolitan area of Hangzhou. Many rail tracks will gather and Hangzhou-Changsha high-speed trains, Hangzhou-Ningbo high-speed trains and Hangzhou-Huangshan high-speed trains will stay here. Hangzhou Metro Lines 5 and 11 will pass through this transportation junction and achieve transfer in the Eastern Square. The average departure interval of only a few minutes will support the everyday passenger flow volume of ten million people. When functional elements including commercial facilities such as large-scale department store, business street and hotel etc. and park etc. gather here, it will make the Hangzhou South Railway Station shine its unique brilliance as a landmark of commerce.
