The STEC Won 2.3 Billion yuan in Singapore's DTSS (Deep Tunnel Sewerage System) Project to Build Asia's Most Advanced Sewage Treatment System
2019-02
In November 2017, STEC SUCG International Engineering Co., Ltd. received a bid-winning notice from the Singapore Public Utilities Bureau (PUB) and successfully won the second stage T11 project of Singapore Deep Tunnel Sewerage System-DTSS in the form of an independent general design and construction contract, with a bid amount of S$472 million (about 2,309 billion yuan).
DTSS is the most proud water conservancy project for Singaporeans and the most advanced sewage treatment system in Asia. This time, engineers from STEC SUCG International Engineering Co., Ltd. will dig an "Underground Sewage Highway" 58 meters underground and nearly 20 floors deep in Singapore.
Through DTSS, sewage from all over Singapore is collected from the existing pipeline network and flows to the underground pipeline corridor 60 meters deep under the influence of gravity, and finally reaches the Tuas Water Reclamation Plant-TWRP for recycling into NeWater and Industrial Water. The reclaimed water treated by DTSS is one of the country's four major water supply sources.
DTSS is the first large-scale water project in Singapore won by The STEC independently, which will push the company to open up the water market in Singapore and even the whole South Asia region.
