The Panguang Road Power Tunnel Constructed By STEC Runs Through: Three Districts in Northern Shanghai Are Receiving "Underground" Power Supply

On November 27, 2017, the power tunnel between Panguang Road and Yixian Road, one of the most important power channels in the northern area of the city, contracted by STEC Shanghai Road and Bridge (Group) Co., Ltd., has completed all construction tasks and is expected to be put into operation by the end of this month. At that time, this will provide more powerful guarantee for power transmission and supply in Baoshan, Yangpu, Hongkou and other places.
Panguang Road - Yixian Road Power Tunnel is the key power channel connecting the 500 KV Yanghang Substation and the 500 KV Hongyang Substation under construction. The first phase of the 14.36 km power grid 220 KV will be put into operation by the end of this month and the second phase 500 KV will also be put into operation by the end of 2017. At present, cables, equipment and pipelines in the power tunnel have been laid out, and the final debugging before operation is being carried out on the site.
The Largest Diameter Pipe Jacking Power Tunnel in China
Panguang Road - Yixian Road Power Tunnel adopts the pipe jacking construction method. The inner diameter of the tunnel is DN 3500 reinforced concrete pipe, which is the largest pipe jacking method power tunnel in China. Taking Bid 1 contracted by STEC Shanghai Road and Bridge (Group) Co., Ltd. as an example, there are many houses and enterprises along the route, the traffic situation is complicated, and the pipe jacking is faced with difficulties such as long composite curve pipe jacking construction and complicated underground pipeline to cross obstacles such as rail transit Line 1 and viaduct.
In the process of construction, the project department, in combination with the joint research and development of the construction party, adopted a series of innovative technologies such as pipe jacking earth pressure balance mud and water excavation mode, full-automatic induction grouting technology, 24 - hour global eye monitoring and so on, successively succeeded in crossing structures (buildings) such as houses, subways, iron towers, viaducts, rivers, bridges, municipal pipelines, roads and so on, ensuring the smooth completion of the project.
The construction of a number of major power tunnel projects, such as Yanggao Middle Road and Xizang South Road, in which STEC Shanghai Road and Bridge (Group) Co., Ltd. has successively participated, has accumulated rich construction experience and is gradually improving in the standardization of construction safety and civilization. At the same time, the new technologies and new processes applied in the project, such as automatic measurement, self-made earth pressure balance mud excavation and BIM modeling, will also be used as the basis for subsequent projects.
