We provided a new plan for the culturally significant Tengwang pavilion historic site, constructing both a cultural square in front of the pavilion and a tunnel that not only solved the traffic problems perfectly, but also promoted the development of surrounding tourism and commercial real estate, resulting in the scenic area being upgraded to level 5A.
Our Common Future
“Sustain innovation, think globally, surpass dreams, create value” is the cultural foundation of STEC. We are moving forward with investors, clients, partners, employees and cities. It is the belief of sustainable development that STEC always practices.
STEC and City
Heritage Preservation and Historical Protection
We believe that the most attractive and distinctive city is one that values its culture. In the long term process of upgrading urban development, participation in the construction and renovation of a city is much more than simply replacing the old with the new. It is to provide an urban reconstruction that maintains the cultural and historical significance of the cities and transformation blueprint.
The precise reconstruction of old structures, such as the famous Shanghai Waibaidu Bridge. We preserved this city memorial by carefully removing and then repairing, restoring and replacing this Shanghai city landmark.
During the construction of Shanghai Bund Tunnel, the world’s first super-large tunnel in a densely urban area, we also created and ensured the continuation of a classic ‘museum of historic world architectural styles’ on and surrounding the Bund. We applied special protective measures and used our experience with densely populated urban areas to create this amazing underground crossing.
We kept the skeleton of the dock structure (a former national industry) of Jiangnan Shipyard to make the shipyard at the EXPO site Jiangnan Square.
